Find us at PAX Aus 2026

It is that time of the year again. PAX Aus time! The Logic Engine team have a varied schedule at the event this year. All the more opportunities to find them and say hello.

Gem Drop in action.

As usual we will have one foot firmly planted in Collaboratory. You can come check out Gem Drop, a new game that has made it into wider testing, that may be our next 3 Dice Series entry. Gem Drop has players choosing configurations of gems and then drawing them into their bag. Creating sequences of gems allows players to send bag-filling sand to other players. But it doesn’t go straight in! It will accrue until a Drop is activated, then everyone gets sand to deal with! Fill your bag so you can’t place any more gems and you bust. Who can be the last one left standing?

Gem Drop will be in Collaboratory from around 12 noon until 4pm. Check with the Collaboratory staff which table it is on.

The Dungeon Rival game player setup.

Andrew will also have a non-Logic Engine (there is such a thing, yes) game in Collaboratory. Dungeon Rivals is a 2-4 player competitive tile placing and hand management game. Players select randomly distributed sets of tiles and action tokens, then place the tiles in their dungeon. Treasure rooms are added, filled with treasure, then players try to raid each other using their current hand of tokens. Who can steal the most loot from their rivals dungeons?

Dungeon Rivals will be on Friday and Saturday, 2pm-6pm. Again, check with Collaboratory staff which table it is on.

Matthew will be around in Collaboratory too. He is running the section for PAX Aus as part of the TGDA. He’ll be about the place, hopefully not looking too stressed.

What of our third member?

Lyndon has been lured to the dark side.

One Pop Planet logo.

His digital game, One Pop Planet, will be in PAX Rising all weekend. It’s a cute, fun little escalating puzzle game where pieces fall from four directions. Match the piece types to feed them to your planet. Accrue too many pieces around your planet and watch it pop! An earlier version won the Pirate Software Game Jam 17, so you know it’s good.

And if you can’t make it to PAX Aus, there is a version you can play on itch.io!
